What does WineBoss do?

WineBoss hosts the online catalogues and processes the online sales for more than 140 Australian wineries. We have been operating since 2007.

Our diverse range of winery partners and easy-to-use online purchasing system makes WineBoss a very convenient way to purchase quality wine at great prices.

When you make a purchase through the WineBoss website, your order details will be transmitted direct to the winery, who will then take care of order fulfilment. WineBoss acts as an efficient and trustworthy transaction platform to allow you to purchase wine safely and securely.

Why is WineBoss different from any other website selling wine?

WineBoss is not a wine retailer – it is a service provider. When you purchase wine through the WineBoss website, you are effectively purchasing direct from the winery. WineBoss acts as an efficient and trustworthy transaction platform to allow you to purchase wine safely and securely.

Is it safe to use my credit card on the WineBoss website?

Yes, it is. Our secure server uses 128-bit SSL encryption methods to encrypt all of your personal information, including credit card information, as it is transmitted over the Internet from your browser to our server. We store your order information in our database and transmit your credit card information to the SecurePay payment processing system under 128-bit SSL encryption. WineBoss does not know, nor does it store, your credit card information.

How does the winery get my order?

Once your payment has been approved and we have confirmed your order, we transmit your order details to the winery, who will then take care of order fulfilment. We have built strong relationships with our winery partners. They use us as part of their overall strategy to sell wine, so they are familiar with our ordering process.

When will I receive the wine I have purchased?

Delivery timeframes and delivery methods depend on the specific procedures and policies of each winery. However, WineBoss requires all participating wineries to commence delivery procedures within seven (7) days of receiving the order.

What is the situation with respect to Refunds and Returns?

Refund and Return policies depend on the specific procedures and policies of each winery.

Note: When you make purchase, you should choose carefully. You will not automatically get a refund if you simply change your mind, unless this was a condition of the sale or part of the Refunds and Returns policy of the winery from which you purchased.

Always retain your email receipt as proof of purchase.

Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 it is an offence:
  • To supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years (Penalty exceeds $7,000)
  • For a person under the age of 18 years to purchase or receive liquor. (Penalty exceeds $500)
