The V V ia a blend of Viognier and Verdelho. The Viognier was picked as the fruit approached 12 Baume as good signs of fruit ripeness were begining to develop without the overpowering flavours of apricot that develop later with this variety. The Verdelho was blended to add a final touch of smoothness and to soften the pallet slightly.

This wine is made from two Italian varieties that encompass the whole of Italy. The Nebbiolo from the Piedmont area right at the top of Italy has been blended with the Primitivo that origionates from the very heel of the country. The strong ripe raspberry flavours of the Primitivo are softened by the cool elegant flavours of the Nebbiolo. This wine may be consumed now or will cellar for many years.

The Chardonnay for this sparkling wine was sourced from the Flanders Block (Grove Estate Partner) hence "Flanders Field". This block of grapes facing directly north picks up the morning sun and jumps away early in the season, lending itself beautifully to this style of Chardonnay.
This Sparkling has been produced using the traditional champagne method and early Cellar Door sales have resulted in excellent feedback from Grove Estate Customers.
