The V V ia a blend of Viognier and Verdelho. The Viognier was picked as the fruit approached 12 Baume as good signs of fruit ripeness were begining to develop without the overpowering flavours of apricot that develop later with this variety. The Verdelho was blended to add a final touch of smoothness and to soften the pallet slightly.

Produced from 100% Yarra Valley fruit. Both varieties were crushed and de-stemmed before being cofermented in static fermenters. A small portion of Viognier (less than 3%) was used to lift perfume and build complexity. After gentle pressing the wine was transferred to a combination of French oak barrels for 12 months maturation. Perfumed with white pepper and spice, raspberry and dark berry fruits. Full-flavoured with dark berries, spice and beautiful French oak across the palate.

Whole-bunch pressed with free run juice immediately transferred to tank, cold settled and racked to retain the fresh varietal flavours desired. Slow fermentation at cool temperatures employed to enhance aromatic characters. The wine was held on lees for a further three months after ferment to add complexity and mouth feel and is showing vibrant apricot and floral notes with hints of lemon citrus and orange. On the palate, apricot preserves and tropical fruit with a fresh crisp finish.

A beautifully scented wine, deep red magenta, distinct purple hue & a small
percentage of Viognier (~1%) has been used in the final blend, adds ripe fruit aromatics reminiscent of apricot and musk. Ripe tannins also highlight the palate aptly combined with ripe fruit complexity. American oak hogsheads and Stakvats provide a complex oak character in harmony with the fruitiness of the wine.
