Phillips Brook was established in 1975, making it one of the oldest vineyards in the Albany region of Western Australia. The original vineyard was planted to Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon, and in 2001 when David and Bronwen Newbury purchased the vineyard, further plantings of Chardonnay, Sav Blanc, Merlot, Cab Franc were added.
The cool maritime climate of Albany and the gravelly loam soils create a microclimate suited to producing fine elegant wines of wonderful varietal flavours and intensity.
Winemaker James Kellie is one of Western Australia's pre-eminent winemakers. All wines are under stelvin closure.
