Cardinham Estate was established in 1981 by Noel & Heather Smith. The first wine release came in 2001. After many awards and praising reviews in 2009 Cardinham Estate was awarded "The Best Riesling in the World" at the Canberra International Riesling challenge, the highlight to the family's achievements. The winery, vineyards and tasting room are operated by family members, the vineyards are run using biological vineyard management practices. Minimal to no chemical inputs. Recent exports to Hong Kong, China and the USA.
