James Halliday (2009): "Bright purple-red; a full-bodied mix of blackberry, plum and nuances of mocha and spice; good balance and structure; simply needs time." 92 points.
TORBWine: "The nose showed sweet plum, vanilla and liquorice. The deeply seated fruit presents a flavour profile that is mainly black with plum, blackberry, dried herbs, spice and liquorice. An ample-weight wine, it's firmly backed by powdery tannins."

Polleters Merlot is rich in character and deeper in colour than many of the contemporary Merlots. Bright garnet in colour and displays vibrant fruits of plum, red berry fruits and a distinctive Pyrenees minerality. The medium-bodied palate is fresh and lively with nice acidity and soft juicy merlot fruit in abundance. This wine shows very attractive characters and delivers a well-balanced package of fruit, tannin and acid. Enjoy until 2019.
