919 2011 Durif
919 2011 Durif (RRP $42.00)
WINE TO PARTY WITH! The 2011 Durif is delightfully floral and spicy on the nose, displaying mulberry and violet notes and a hint of smoky cinnamon. The palate is medium weight, very even, with some smoky oak, berry and stewed plum notes, a savoury length, and a firm finish. This is a more elegant style of Durif, but still has cellaring potential of about 8 years. Pair with rich red dishes of sweet cuts of meat, and red fruit desserts such as mulberry pavlova or plum clafouti.

919 2012 Touriga
919 2012 Touriga (RRP $40.00)
SPICE IT UP! The 919 2012 Touriga is a lively fresh wine with loads of berry and ripe plums, cinnamon, pepper, smokey and sour cherry notes. The palate is full and well structured, with fresh plum and savoury flavours, bright tannins and a long, intense finish. This Touriga benefits from a little air (leave it open up to three days), and may throw a dark red crust in the bottle, so decant it if necessary. The spiciness matches Asian food, and the crispness cuts through rich Greek style lamb.
