A brilliant pale straw. Poached pear and spice, lemon juice and meringue pie form a lovely complex, layered nose. The generous, moreish fruit weight on the palate is complimented by zippy, citrusy acidity. Well balanced and approachable; this wine is extremely enjoyable to drink now or anytime for the next 3-4 years.

2013 Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc (RRP $22.00)
A brilliant pale straw. A fresh and vibrant spectrum of nettles, lemon zest and golden kiwifruit is reflective of the stony, cool climate site. Underlying passionfruit and guava characters are reflective of the aromatic yeasts used. The full and luscious fruit weight on the palate is rather attractive, with a refined minerality and great acid structure pulling it together into a Sauvignon Blanc of much finesse and elegance.

Already has a luminous green colour; the bouquet is fragrant, the palate stacked with flavour that transcends the usual citrus boundaries, taking in stone fruit; just when you wonder if there may be some residual sugar in the wine, the slippery acidity puts that idea to rest. Will develop relatively quickly, but give pleasure along every point along the way.

Bright straw. Intense, fresh lemon lime fruit is backed by exotic herbal nuances of kaffir lime leaves, clover and orange blossom. Intense citrus fruit dominates the palate, along with a subtle herbal lift and a backbone of chalky/minerally acids. This is a tightly structured wine with well-balanced acidity giving both power and length. An impressive Semillon produced from a year that will be rewarded with early drinking or cellaring.

Over time, age will create a smoother wine with a little less primary fruit, but more savoury/earthy characters.
