Catherine Vale Vineyard produces premium wines form the following grape varieties: Semillon, Chardonnay, Verdelho, Arneis, Barbera and Dolcetto. Plantings cover 10 acres of the 100 acre property. We are located in the Broke Fordwich Wine sub region of the Hunter Valley of NSW. We are a small family run operation with a cellar door, picnic and BBQ facilities, as well as Bocce Courts and the best views of the region. Catherine Vale 2011 Arneis is a lovely example of this Northern Italian varietal and presents a crisp light style of wine with characters similar to Sauvignon blanc.This is the second vintage of Arneis at Catherine Vale. The "little rascal" has performed well at Catherine Vale. This wine was selected as a wine of Texture in the Wine Selectors article featuring white wines of texture.

Catherine Vale Arneis 2012 (RRP $20.00)
The Lawsons say they researched this wine while visiting Piedmont with the primary purpose of looking at barbera and dolcetto. Arneis seems to give a little bit extra no matter where it is planted in Australia, from the coolest to the warmest regions. Here the flavours are of apple skin, citrus zest and citrus juice, embraced by minerally acidity.
